ADHD Moms Therapy Group

Overview: A 6-8 week closed group that will entail psychoeducation and strategies for both executive functioning and emotional regulation, relevant to challenges unique to the experience of mothers (being a woman, parenting, the tangible and invisible labor) as shaped by biology, neurotype, and typical social role expectations.

There will also be a processing component in which group members may share experiences, past and current, and receive mutual support and feedback.  There will be an over-arching structure in planning and adapting for specific goals, including exercises of organization, check-ins, reflection, and adaptation.  Emphasis will be on values, self-compassion, and empowerment.

Registration: To participate in group, members must first complete a brief phone consult and 45 minute intake evaluation to screen and assess appropriateness of the group to individual needs. You may initiate this process by contacting me directly or self-scheduling a consult.

Cost: $225 - includes intake + 6 weekly sessions (out of network)

Intake and group sessions may be covered by your insurance if you have Aetna, Optum (United HealthCare), or Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (I am not in network with other BCBS plans, only Massachusetts).

Considerations:

It is most beneficial to attend the 3-part workshop “Below the Surface of ADHD” (especially Part 3. ADHD in Women, on 11/28) to familiarize yourself with the concepts we will be elaborating on, though it is not required.

A minimum of 4 participants registered for the group needed, max of 8 participants.

The format will likely be all virtual, though after registration is complete, I will inquire about feasibility and accessibility of in-person.  In person group would take place in Havertown, PA.
